Support Member Scholarship
The Support Members of the Arkansas Ag Aviation Association are now accepting applications for their 2023 scholarship. This year's theme is:

“What value does ag aviation bring to your local economy?"

The Support Members of the Arkansas Agricultural  Aviation Association will award a $2,000 scholarship in an essay competition.  If you are a AAAA member or become one by June 15, 2023, the Support Members invite you to be a sponsor.  The scholarship is not restricted to use for a “flying career”.  Any education pursuit beyond high school at any age is eligible.  The Competition is open to all AAAA members, children, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law or spouse of any AAAA Operator, Pilot, Retired Operator or Pilot who maintains an active membership.  Previous winners are not eligible. 
 
Deadline for entry is September 1, 2023

• Entrants must be a senior in high school or be registered in higher education by the fall semester of 2023.
• Essays must be at least 1,500 words
• Topic deviation and/or modification will not be accepted
• Papers submitted will be judge on content, theme development, clarity, originality and proper grammar
• All sources used must be cited in a bibliography or works cited page
• Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification
• Entries must be typewritten and double-spaced

To ensure the judges will not know the identities of the writer, keep any reference to the author’s name, sponsoring company and company location out of the essay itself.  However, a title page must be attached and contain the entrant’s name, address, email address, telephone number, relationship to the sponsor, sponsor’s company name, address and telephone number.  A photograph of the entrant and short biography should be provided on a separate page. 

Manuscripts may be sent electronically or mailed.  Electronic submissions should be sent as an email attachment to  jenfolden@yahoo.com.ww  If the essay is sent by mail it must be postmarked by September 1, 2023 and mailed to:

Receipt of the essay will be acknowledged.  The winners will be notified by phone and letter and recognized at the 2023 AAAA Convention.  The Scholarship will be awarded for the Fall Semester of 2022.
